Letzten Sonntag war es uns kalt. Aber es war nicht so Rau, und es ist sehr schön wann einem so viel Schnee sehen kann. Wir waren am die Albis Krematorium, sprechen mit die Totem. Könntet Ihr es glauben?. Die Fotos sind nach die bilder. Endlich, heute, haben wir mit Terry treffen. Wir haben eine Paar Schalen genohmmen und alles war sehr gut. Sie hat uns nach eine Fondue geinladen. Dass wird macht uns Spass!.

Life is going… I don’t have much new information to share with you. Marisa and I, we are here having some nice time…

Ps. Arturo!, this is not like in Spain, people at the industry is very pleased when they have applicants for praktikums that have completed their studies, you can do a Praktikum even if you have finished. In my case I am in a trainee position. And so would be you

And an old pick of the Nanotechnology lab. This one is very old. Now we have windows to see the “green” outside and the equipment is far more tiny (although we have a bunch more of gadgets…). I’ll tell you more about it later on.

I’d like to point two things. First of all: “F E L I C I D A D E S A R T U R O!!!”.
The other is that probably tomorrow I won’t be able to say it since I’ll be terribly bussy this week (explanation below).
Fortunately for me I have already bought me two presents, you see some shots here, oder?. I let you only one here as preview.
Explanation (Schedule):
Meet my colleagues tomorrow for completing the presentation with their slides, present the Vortrag to the assistent tomorrow, on wednesday I have to present the vortrag in the Nanosystems class, then on Thursday I’ll be celebrating my birthday with a girl in the Kreisburo (Local Governament Agency) that has it the same day as me (she’s who registered me as citizen in Zürich) and is also spanish of second generation but with Swiss passport. Then I have to go fast to the PSI because I have a seminar there on Neutron Scattering, then meet some people at PSI, afterwards com back to Zürich and prepare my German vortrag for the next day, wake me up at 6:30 on Friday to go to ETH Hönggerberg for the Neutron Scattering class, go to talk with the proffesor later on, for our second breakfast I supposse, pick up Marisa at the Airport or at the station, move the packages to home and let them there, go to the German class… fiu… that’s quite a lot in a week for me!. And I’d like to go to the gym and to study quite a lot!. I need to renormalize the days length…

Ayer estuve en un seminario de particulas. Entre otras cosas porque te invitan personalmente y ademas te ponen que durante media hora antes hay buffet libre de cafe, te, galletas y pasteles… Delicioso!.
Datos interesantes y asequibles despues del seminario:
* El Modelo Standard sigue funcionando perfectamente despues de 40 anios. Sigue sin explicar algunas cosas pero es valido decir que cuando tengamos mas energia en los aceleradores y veamos las particulas que hacen falta el modelo seguira valido.
* Los neutrinos al final se consideran como una nueva escala. Seguramente hay otro mundo a escala de
neutrinos.
* Pese a lo que parece la materia oscura fria es el 87 de la energia del universo. La materia oscura caliente
nos completa casi el resto ~99% y solo el 0.02 es materia visible (lo que entendemos normalmente por
materia o energia, las estrellas, los planetas, nosotros). Ambas materias oscuras estan empezando a
terminar de conocerse. Casi se entiende ya todo de ellas. (El neutrino es materia oscura caliente).
* Sigue la preocupacion ante las consecuencias de que las teorias de gran unificacion (GUTs) sean correctas, sin embargo su escala de energia es tan alta que aun no se pueden hacer mediciones concluyentes. En ese caso una consecuencia es que el proton es inestable. Es decir, la materia es inestable, muere en el tiempo. Actualmente los protones, etc se cree que son eternos.
* Actualmente se esta bastante seguro de que el universo es de diez dimensiones (tres mas que cuando
yo estudie esto).
* El espacio tiempo de Einstein no es valido, al menos al 99% de seguridad. Es decir la Relatividad General a
escala cuantica necesitaria un espacio tiempo no de Riemmann si no un espacio tiempo cuantico.
* El espacio tiempo cuantico toma fuerza. Es decir se cree que el espacio tiempo no es continuo si no que va
a saltos aunque a esta escala no se note.
* Se vuelve a tomar interes debido al spacio tiempo cuantico en saber si existen un tiempo y un espacio
minimos. Es decir que no podemos pensar que exista un intervalo de tiempo cero e igualmente de longitud. A esto se esta llegando desde casi cualquier teoria de particulas hoy en dia y se cree que la unidad de
longitud es proporcional a h 10^-34m y la de tiempo minimo 10^-54s.
